Funeral Plans for Green Burials

Gordon & Alison are your hosts at both Woodland Burial Parks and are available to meet you at any time during daylight hours to guide you through the different options available to you, i.e. Woodland Burial, Meadow, or the Togetherness Sections where you may be laid to rest with your beloved pet. A Woodland Eco/ Green Burial Park is a place where interments of loved ones takes place in bio-degradable coffins / shrouds or even a favourite blanket and cremated remains are interred. Grave spaces are marked by the planting of a tree or a memorial fashioned from a natural product, i.e. sustainable harvested wood, small local stone laid flat to the ground and in some cases the memorial may be a bird, bat or owl box, or hedgehog hide etc.

The aim of our Woodland Burial Parks

Is to meet the growing demand for Woodland Burial facilities offering choice to the community of environmentally friendly burials. The flora and fauna on site receives minimal maintenance to encourage naturalisation thus providing ideal habitats for local wildlife. Native tree species such as Holly, Oak, Ash, Cherry and Birch are being used, under planted with native wildflower species to encourage butterflies, wildlife and birds. It is a multi denominational burial facility with a separated section for the environmental burial of pets and a joint section for those like-minded people wishing to be buried alongside their pets.

Funeral Plans for Cremations

Traditional Cremations but personalised to reflect the life of the person lost, including funeral arranging and directing fees, a cardboard coffin or a simple coffin.
Includes the use of a hearse and viewing in our chapel of rest, starting from home on the day of the funeral and onto the church or crematorium.
Plus disbursement costs such as church fees, a vicar or celebrant’s fees, order of service and the playing of music, newspaper notice and any flowers.

Simple Cremations yet respectfully carried out  including a choice of a shroud, cardboard coffin or simple coffin.
The use of a private ambulance instead of a hearse and forgoing viewing in our chapel of rest, taking you directly to the crematorium on the day of the funeral.     
Plus disbursement costs such as church fees, a vicar or celebrant’s fees, order of service and the playing of music, newspaper notice and any flowers.

Express Cremations Our funeral service is here to assist you at the most difficult of times and to offer you advice in a practical but compassionate manner.
As we are all aware the cost of a funeral is rising year on year but we can help by offering our direct service to lay your loved one/friend to rest in a dignified way but at a low budget cost avoiding added stress caused by worrying about the cost of the funeral.
Our funeral arrangers are fully experienced at caring for the deceased and the families left behind.
The transportation, care and laying to rest of the deceased is carried out using professional vehicles and uniformed staff.
It is sometimes difficult to get everyone together for a funeral service due the transient nature of family life and work commitments, not everyone can get time off, so why not have the memorial service at a time to suit everyone?
